PROJECT “VISION BOARD”

It’s the 29th of January; “The Vision Board Day”.

Oh hi there let me take you through our day.

We arrive at the club at 8:30am, just in time to get our “early bird” marble. We then say hi to our friends and are ready for our morning devotion. We continue on the topic of “discipline” but this time we get to learn from the story of Samson. I have always loved that at Amazing Kids, we always start with God.

It’s now time to break a sweat for 10 minutes or so, let’s do a quick warm up.

Let’s move on to the life skill lesson. Today we have two new amazing kids who joined us. Welcome to Amazing Kids Janelle and Gio. You’re going to love it here! The lesson is still on “Goal Setting” but today is going to be different, since we would later use the goals we created the previous Saturday to make a vision board for the year. We start by taking a few minutes to help our friends who missed the goal setting session to catch up by making their own goals, so we are all on the same boat. We then participate in answering questions in review of goal setting. We also add more goals we may have missed out last week.

I don’t know about you but am hungry. Tea time! We’re taking tea and some snacks as we watch a short animation about Samson.

Time to have some fun. Let’s go play in the field and the special children playground.

After that nice fun break, it’s time to refocus. We all settle in class and get ready for the project; creating a vision board. I have to say, I have eagerly been waiting for this one. I even brought my own cut out pictures from
home to stick on my vision board. My friends did too. Remember, they are not just random pictures, they are pictures specific to the goals that I set for myself this year. Watch me and my friends focus and have fun creating our vision boards.

Project “Vision Board”

I really love how not only mine but also my friends’ vision boards have turned out. Notice how under each picture we write down a commitment of each goal we have set. What do you think of our vision boards? I think they look lovely!!

It’s time to go home. We carry our vision boards–to ensure we hang them somewhere at home, most likely our bedroom or even sitting room where we can see the commitment the minute I wake up, how I would love to be held accountable!!. We commit to make consistent efforts to achieve the goals we set for ourselves.

Before I go let me leave you with these bloopers of the day where Aria showcases her special ability to “photo-bomb” pictures and lighten the mood. Bye, I hope to see you back here next week.
